Ice Races Return
The ice race series is returning for 2010. There will be 4 races with the first being held on Silver Lake in the valley.
So get your tires studded, and your warm clothes on. Here's more info (sorry I couldn't get the image to copy!):

Super tight track with good stunts, a teetertotter and two ramp drops.

Wiked fun. Best track ever and a very beautiful day of weather. Riders and volunteers took home $250 in prizes.
1st - Mike Hutchenson (15pts)

Next race February 21st. I'm stoked to be able to make this race and see the unique course that Barry always puts together.

Hey Mountain bike fans, I went down to the lake today to inspect the surface and could havedrowned in the 6 inches of water sitting on top. We've faced thisbefore - which results in a condition known as"mountainbikerfreeziousassessoffus". To prevent starting a localoutbreak and possible pandemic, the AVMBA has opted to postpone theIce Race scheduled for Feb 21st till further notice. Rumore is the singletrack at Long Lake Provincial Park is optimal! Happy Trails, Barry-- Ride.
I won't be able to make it this week but I do have time off for the rest of the dates. I've been looking forward to this since last years' races!!
