It's just a bit misleading as their labeled as BNS MTB Points, that would lead some people to think ALL BNS mountain bike races were included not just cross country. Downhill is mountain biking too after all.
I only bring it up as some DH races have mentioned to me that they fell a bit left out on this. Some clubs have a pretty strong presence in DH and could have a big effect the results of the Club points if included.
I'm sure all the DH racers (many who race XC too) would love to contribute to their clubs points and help their shops some recognition.
(Not trying to stir things up just bring some equality to the system.)

Ok, I see. I usually title it as "BNS MTB Series (XC), or (Cross-Country) and then "Club" or "Individual" points series, whatever the case may be, I just forgot to include that detail this time around, sorry about that.
As far as equality goes, the DH guys are equally able to get together and put as much or as little as they want into a DH points series. This was made pretty clear at the MTB committee meeting last winter.
I also made it pretty clear at the meeting that I will have nothing to do with anything DH related. If you guys want a combined club series, you'll have to do it yourselves. I don't think I will be doing this (the club series) again next year, so there you go, one less thing for people doing nothing to bitch about someone else not doing what they aren't.
