An old hangout when I lived on Purcells Cove Rd. Had a badass 4 minute loop put together for interval training. Some solid steeps to get the burn going. Fun for night riding too. We used to rip the frogpond gravel loop at high speed at night- good times.
I figure there could be some fun in there in the winter too where the foot traffic does the snow packing for you.
Yeah, when you put it together with the Frog Pond loop it can be fun. It's been mentioned, but there is enough steeps in there that you can get a good burn on at the right pace.
Been in a bit as an adult and a tonne as a kid. We used to build jumps in the frog pond trails and hit them on our BMXs.
Fun times .. fun times.
Winter riding is quite good in there. It gets enough foot traffic to beat the snow down. Forget short track, try something challenging like night snow sprints including a descent down the stair case....now that's a challenge!!!
Anyone ever ride in Flemming Park? It's not the biggest park, so it would likely grow old before long, but there are a couple of neat trails in there and some topography to boot.
I bet one could setup a pretty mean shorttrack course in there!
