Awesome to hear Conor! Jeff T. in Keppoch has been making inquiries to us on the BNS MTB Committee on his different options. We're doing some investigation into how different sanction options can accommodate ride days etc., so that it's cost effective for the organizer. I'll be sure to let you know what we find out.
Five flames for awesome.

Hey race fans, This year in Wentworth we are thinking about doing our normal ride day on Sat. and race on Sun. The differnece is we will allow riding on sunday for the non-racers. I know this flys in the face of everything i have been preaching for the last 10 (?) years. The reason being this way more people will have rides, reasons to stay over and hopefully be intrested in doing some racing in the future. The other reason is to try to entice more vollinteers by offering people the chance to ride at a discounted price for the day provided they turn up and work the course for the race runs. How do I enforce that? I don't hand out there passes untill they attend the volly meeting, they get assigned a section of trail and will be checked up on during the race. There names will be entered into the draw prises as well. the race runs will hopefully take about 2 hours total with our new and improved timing system that is really ready to go (for real this summer). As for seeding runs/one run format that is to be decided by the powers that be. (the racers). Wentworth race to be held June 5/6 and maby a fall race TBA. I realise that racing is not fun for everyone so hopefully people will come and ride and can still enjoy there bikes. The biggest issue is that people who are riding during the race weekend will have to be respectfull of the racers and race trail. In other words, on sat. racers get priority on the race trail (they will have plates) and no-one will be allowed to cross or even enter the race trail on sunday. We will plan for a trail with a minimum of intersections. During training the racers will get lift line priorty. They will be responsiable to get themselves to the top in time to race.
In other wentworth news, we lost a minimum of trail to the development and look for a new super fast trail with big air to replace the Grassy Switchbacks. Possibly named Tribute. The rock face was partly exposed but the fun part (the face) is intact and we will be able to use it as we allways have.
Please let me know if you have any concerns or questions.
Conor
