take the exit at riverside speed way

turn right, (you should be looking straight at the hill now)

drive straigh to a stop sign, turn left (you should be on the pavement not dirt now)

drive untill you come to a dirt road on the right, about 2 - 3 kms ( take the dirt road)

about 1 km on the dirt road trun right again

you should be at a big gravel pit right now

drive one more km to fing the next left, this is the shi hill.

there should be mtb sings from the highway, but don't count on it

Andrew. Jeff told me he has the special event insurance which covers saturday and sunday, and riders shouldn't need the $20 one event membership.

had a great weekend and super fun race.  thanks for all the hard work boys.  good to get another one under your belt.  well done.

Well said Conor............ The Valley boys had a blast this weekend. The race trail (Rollers????) is my favorite at the hil...........fast and flowy. Even in a rain shit storm. The trail was great fun today! Props to Jeff and the Keppoch crew.......Well done!

Don't forget the season's not over yet..........one more chance to get yer race plates dirty at the Gorge Oct 17th and 18th.

Cheers

Sweet Job Guys.

Dave that trail reminds me of alot of features on your guys stuff eh?

I always have fun at Keppoch. This weekend was no exception. Thanks to all who made it happen. Great job.  The mud was a lot of fun and I'm pretty happy with the win, but still haven't been able to check "beat Josh Thibodeau" off my list...yet.

I saw lots of cameras, and even a video camera, floating around. Let's see some shots!

Josh has made the trip to all the Gorge DH races so far. If he makes the trip this October there will be one more chance.

Im super hoping to be able to do that race Dave. As of now its looking good if I keep the pace im going with physio and rebuilding muscle.

Yeah, anybody got the results? Send 'em to Kelby Ernst <kelby_ernst@hotmail.com> so we can count it in the BNS MTB DH Points series. Or not. Whatev'

^splendid

I'll check on the results... they normally magically make it to Kelby without me having to do anything.  Maybe the magic is gone.

So I'm new to the scene in NS, really interested in this hill and also Wentworth. Is there anyone that can designate a weekend to show me some of the trails at either hill? I live in Halifax so I'll have to make a day trip of it. Just send me a PM if you can!

Thanks!
Mike Boland

i think myself and others are heading to kentville this sunday... if you are interested in a day trip, thats the place to go right now... the hill in kentville is a private property hill as is wentworth and keppoch. i am sure it would be ok for me to bring a another with me. add me to face book if ya like .... sheldon mcquillan. vw_cabrio82 at hotmail.com

^^^^^ We had a recent encounter with 5 or so dudes on wallmart bikes and no helmets at Ward mtn last Sunday. Some how they have discovered the trails and decided to give it a go despite the following: aquiring permission from the land owner, bringing an appropriate bike, and they failed to bring helmets. I redirected them to safely find their way to the bottom of the hill, and reminded them it is private property. It is in my hands to ensure we are able to continue using this land, and their seems to be more and more riders on the hill on the weekends. I'm inclined to say that "for now" I'm only OK with the people who have been using the trails, and would ask that those people not bring any others for the time being.

if anybody else has any other questions they can shoot me a PM.

cheers

point noted ... thanks for that

Thanks for the reminder/info... it's easy to forget that Ward is private land and that because of your hard work and promises (to the land owner) we are even able to ride there at all.
