I'm even more out of shape than usual but I still can't wait; I see possible snow flurries for Sunday so we might some nice weather to add to the pain!
Apparently the Hub Racing guys just got back from a 2 week European training camp to get ready for this. They should be on fire!!
And TYG is preppin' for Nationals next weekend so he'll be out to sharpen his fangs by gnawing on G-Money's legs. DmacB is staring his 2011 come-back so I imagine he'll be coming off his 3 month race taper. Lamb has been burning the candle pulling all nighters watching cross videos on vimeo and youtube.
Good times on the horizon for sure!
Was that fun or what!?!?
I've always been such a cross-hater- would basically go out once per season on my mtb to remind myself how much I disliked it but finally got a cross rig this year and it's like falling in love. Strung out on a cross high. Gonna mainline that stuff for the next few weeks!

You should come to the Tdot for Nationals next weekend. I am sure you would win your category.
Ha, thanks Chris but no can do. I'll already be out of NS 13 days in Nov without throwing in any races to go thrash around with other old men.
Stoked for TYG and G-Money though, hoping they can rip open a podium spot or two in Tranna'
Saw some folks rockin' out on my way to the 'rents for Halloween lunch. The shoulder is still too effed up to partake, but maybe next week.

good luck guys

I'll be sure to ring the cowbell extra loud as the pass Saturday. Anybody else coming to Nationals?
Gonna be sloppy on Sunday with all this rain! True 'cross style :P
I'm requesting a 30sec headstart for sending my tubies to Nationals with Gmoney !!

Your 3rd spare set is better than everyone's race wheels so I'm sure you'll make do.
You might be better off with some pontoons anyways.
HELL YEAH!

Thanks for the link! Nice to see some Maritimers doing well!
great pic of Garret here: http://www.pedalmag.com/index.php?module=Section&action=viewdetail&item_id=19381
8th one down
Jesus, G-Money got 3rd in Elite on day 2--didn't even realize! That's rock solid!
Yeah, and TYG pulled another 10th... but this time it was a combo Elite/U23 field. They both skooled some big ballers. Just hoping to stay on the same lap as them when they come back to the hinterland and lay down the law.
maybe we can figure out a handicap system !!
Sounds good, here's the formula:
30+ = shut up, that's hardly a handicap
30+ with kids = ok, we'll begrudgingly give you 1/2 a free lap
40+ = 1 free lap
40+ with kids = 2 free laps
50+ = 3 free laps
60+ = automatic win
I was blown away by the cx this year. There must of been 50 or so racers every week and probably 30 spectators (on the nicer days)! I've never seen anything like it in the 3-4yrs I've been traipsing up to Seaview. Hats off to the organisers and everyone involved because obviously all stops were pulled for this series. The tracks were well laid out with plenty of hairpins, ups, downs, and very few places for a breather. And plenty of mud! The only concern is that the park did take a walloping and--especially come short-track time--a couple of those swoopy pieces of singletrack are now blown wide open. (Apparently we made the 'Love the way we bitch' on the Coast due to the state of the park.) Hopefully things will heal up nicely in the spring. Many thanks to everyone, it was a great way to round out the year.
Only a few days away- who's hitting this?
Can't believe I'm amped for cross?! Must have something to do with actually getting a cross bike put together for it.
