Yes cyclesmith is a trek dealer
I know I've read threads in US forums that Trek in the US only honours warranty for the orginal owner unsure of Canada
a dealer is your best bet for accurate diagnosis and valid info.. cause the internet is full of BS
if you not in hrm Pictou County Cycle is also a trek dealer
Awesome. Thanks for the reply. I will give them a call in the AM. Here is a pic of what I am dealing with. There appears to be very little material in the area of the crack. I drew the cracks on to be more visible.

EDIT: when I found the hole it was originaly a small crack. Just looked like a scratch. I scratched at it with my fingernail and the hole appeared. Was pissed. But after reading and hearing how good Trek usually is with Warranty hopefully I can get fixed up. Even if I had to buy a new swingarm assembly id be happy if it showed up in a hurry.

Hi all,
Was just cleaning my 2008 Trek Remedy 9 and noticed a crack/small hole in the chain stay. I am not the original owner. Has anyone ever delt with Trek with an issue like this? Honestly I would be happy to pay for the new swingarm if it meant I would have it fast and not have to miss a lot of riding. Cyclesmith is a Trek dealer right?
