Two person tt this weekend.

Just wondering if bikes will be checked to tt setup this weekend? If so can I go by the following info?http://www.mnjrc.com/Bike%20Regulations.htm

Though all you need to worry about in NS is that the tip of your saddle isn't closer than 5cm (via plumb line) to the centre of the BB (unless you're really short and thus exempt) that the tip of your bars isn't higher than your seat, and that your bars aren't more than 75cm (80 if tall) extended past the center of your BB.

But hopefully they won't check at all -- it's ridiculous to do in NS.

Do you know what the max height a person can be before they screw up a person's riding position?

So it is two people at a time?

Are you assigned a teammate, like a lottery? Or do you show up with a friend and race together?

Or are you enemies, and it is like match play golf?

Thanks,
Greg

I don't think there is a set height, but what they look at is the bend at your elbows when in the aero bars. If you're short enough that to to have your seat 5+ cm back would make your arms stretched out past 90 degrees (or maybe 120, can't remember) then you're exempt. Same thing about the 75 or 80 for the tips of the bars from the BB. If you're tall enough that you need them extended to 80 to have a reasonable angle at your elbows, you'll be able to use them at 80.

You show up with your chosen partner and work together, like a team time trial.

i wanna see TYG roll it solo and podium.

Who's planning on attending?

can you do it without aerobars ? obviously a disadvantage but ohwell

I don't have clip-ons and really don't want to purchase them for one race

You can do the TT on a mountain bike if you want. The event info specifically mentions that. I would appreciate it if you would, as a matter of fact, I'll take every advantage I can get.

So my team mate bailed on me. I'm thinking I still want to do this tho. Looking for someone to ride with. Anyone need a partner? I'll check back here later today.

I just read on breakawaycycling.ca that there won't be any bike checks--good news.
