Wentworth xc date change.

Hello,
It has been brought to my attention that the WW xc is the same day as the single speed national champs on PEI. Due to conflict of intrest/loosing people, How do people feel about oct 17? I can't find a weekend without conflict before that or is that to late? Please, let me know if you have suggestions for alternate dates.

Thanks,

still plenty of good riding in October I'm down with it

hopefully the leaves won't make for too much of a mess for course prep

Good idea, I think you'll get great turn out this way. I'm glad I won't miss it.

Wentworth is amazing the later it gets.
I am sure the leaves will start to change by than, and folks will really enjoy the drive into the valley.

Yeah, I really like a later wentworth. Back in the day it was always at the tail end of the season, wasn't it?

im game sounds good to me! i have a pretty fun time at du it like bryan this past weekend. Price and i were talking about the CTP we this we know of two other guys doing it with us as well. I can't wait to be back inwentworth riding again.

Dang. This stinks for me atleast. I missed the first WW race due to rain, missing Keppoch, and now going to miss wentworth again because of SSCC in PEI. I better make it to Super D.

Industry types will be in Montreal at BTAC, Bruce and Daisy included, I imagine. I think the original date is fine, pretty sure BNS had it slated before PEI went ahead with the date for their event.

Hey Conor,
I know as well as anybody that race date selection is always a balance of many things, but I thought that I’d add this fact to the mix: The Atlantic Cycling Centre’s Peter Wedge program (which has riders from BNS, as well as several potential Spokebender entrants from NB and PEI) is finishing the season long program with a trip to a Quebec Cup race on the Sept. 12 weekend. Many of these riders enjoyed the central location of the Vic Secret race, so there is a good chance they would attend the Spokebender as well.

My intention is not make more trouble for you, but just to point out the potential entrant losses you may have for the weekend of the 12th.

I noticed you didn’t bite on the previous suggestions of an October date; maybe it’s impossible for you personally, but I think you would get great rider support on a cool crisp fall day !

I’ll still love ya no matter what !

I'll be at either date, but think it'd be awesome to have it in October.

welll, if the oct 17 is still open i am game to host it that weekend. Probably use the same format as last year. Everyone starts at 11. that work for everyone? 3/4 lap for the chillins, 1, 2 and 3 laps otherwise.

thoughts?
