Here it is folks. P2 seems to do very well this time of year.....moisture wise. What it needs is a good raking and buffing. How about we get a good crew out and give this bitch a good raking and then ride the hell out of it. After that is finished then maybe we could go over to Ward for some fun!

There will be a work session happenning on the Gorge DH race trail tommorow (Monday the 12th).
Our main goal is to fill some wet spots with gravel, but if we get some extra hands I'd like to get some raking started too. I'll be doing some riding afterwards.

begginer flowy trails in the valley?

Hey guys

 

I want to take my wife out to the valley to ride some flowy trails this (thanks giving) weekend as all the stuff in the HRM is well, not so flowy lol.

 

She is a begginer but things like P2 and the bottom half of the gorge would be ok for her (not the stunts obviously!), I wouldn't mind riding in a group but she'd be pretty slow so if its chilled its all good.

 

Any other sugestions? What are the xc trails like? Where are they?

Oh boys did I take a digger today. I decided to go for a rip at Ward before going to work tonight. No super pinning, just 4 or 5 steady runs ya know. Well on my 3rd run (1st on Pepto) I hit the big drop at the bottom of hill (smokin fast ofcourse) set up for the high spead left hander, got the bike leaned over in the berm/rut, and boom.........my front tire came out the top of it.........instantly slammed me on my forarms, then a rolled over on my sholder/back as I was still slidding accross the shale, gravel, super hard dirt mixture.

any valley action on labor day weekend?

Hey Folks...........

There will be a Gorge/ P2 group ride Sunday at 3pm. Meeting in the dirt parking area behind the Condo at the Gorge. We can do a lap of the XC course, some runs of the DH course, play in the freeride park, and then cruise over to P2 for some fun. Its possible we might have a IMBA official with us as well, and Colin talked about the possibility of a BBQ afterwards.

 Team DAR's heading to the Gorge to do some bridge work. We would be stoked for some help. Going to be finishing the rebuild of the small trail gap in the FR park and if we have enough materials left resurfacing of a few other of the older features.

Might do some work to the race trail too - time permitting.

Ryan, Jim and I will be building a bridge on the DH race course in Gorge Saturday morning. There are some other minor things we'll be working on as well. It will be necessary to ride bikes throughout this process because riding bike is cool. Anybody who wants to come join us on this cool venture is more then welcome.
