A River Runs Through It
The trail along the Gaspereau River was once part of the post road (old cart track) that follows a narrow river gorge. In the late 1800s someone was going to build a mill on the river about 1km upstream from White Rock and thus some improvements were made on the road. The mill was never built, however. Located in an impressively deep ravine, it is one of the most beautiful trails in the area. You can bike upstream for 4 or 5 km before you must cross the river to continue. Most of the trail can be easily ridden, however, there is a very narrow section on the side of the valley wall that will have to be hike-a-biked!
